Growing Food, Community, and Connection

Our Mission

The Lyons Community Farm Project is committed to feeding and unifying communities through the installation of food forests, community gardens, orchards, and green houses. These spaces provide a living classroom to educate individuals and families on regenerative practices as well as ecological conservation. Through our interactive events and workshops, we foster connections between neighbors and provide access to local resources, empowering people to transform their home landscapes and gardens into thriving ecosystems.

Our Vision

Vision without a mission is a dream. We aim to bring our mission to life and live the dream. Our vision is future where every community flourishes with accessible and sustainable food forests, gardens, orchards and green houses. We envision an empowered community where education on healthy food production and ecological practices is commonplace, uniting neighbors in a shared journey towards environmental stewardship. Through our continual efforts, we strive to create a harmonious relationship between communities and natural world, ensuring a legacy of nourishment, connection and care for generations to come!

Lyons Seed Bank

A Collaboration with Lyons Library

The Lyons Library hosts a seed bank that was rebuilt thanks to a grant from the Lyons Community Foundation. The LCFP has stocked it with a variety of seeds for this growing season, with its organization looked over by a seed steward. Throughout the winter, seed sorting events were held at the library.

We'd love for you to come check it out and let us know what you think!
