About The Lyons Community Farm Project

Creating Food Resilience in Lyons

This non profit started over dinner. Two mothers wanted to create food resilience in our town. We wanted to be the change we wanted to see in our small town. A permaculture design course was taken by 12 people interested in being involved in the Lyons Community Farm Project.

Permaculture is fundamental to our approach in stewarding the land we occupy. From February 12th 2021 to the present, we let the 12 principles of permaculture guide us. With the dedication of volunteers, we have since overseen the creation of a food forest, community gardens, and most recently, an orchard. If you have any questions, please reach out and ask, we'd love to hear from you! Our email is Lyonscfp@gmail.com.

Thanks for taking the time to read a bit about us.
